“This scholarship will be a great assistance to me as I head off to Howard University. Although I received an academic scholarship, there is still a funding gap that I am looking to fill through outside scholarships and this really helps. I am so excited that this scholarship will aid me in making my dream of graduating from Howard University with a degree in biology come true. It is a necessary step toward my ultimate goal of attending medical school, becoming an OB-GYN, and opening a women’s health clinic in an under-served community.”

“I am honored to receive this scholarship which will go towards funding my second year at the University of Delaware in the Chemical Engineering Department. On campus I will be taking my academic classes as well as working in an electrochemistry laboratory and serving on the board of the University’s chapters of Engineers Without Borders and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. My goal is to develop better energy storage solutions using electrochemical methods so renewable energy can be used consistently and reliably. Additionally, I want to help bring renewable energy to developing countries so all people around the world have access to dependable and clean power. This scholarship will allow for me to better focus on my classes so that I can run towards my goals.”
